My primary professional designation and license is as a Certified Public Accountant.  As I became more industry-focused in my public accounting career, I began to attain other designations that were industry-specific and relevant to the insurance, banking, and financial services activities of my clients.  Today I continue to actively pursue professional designations, both as a personal challenge and as a way to continually update my knowledge in support of my role as an audit committee financial expert and independent director.
